I absolutely love working with first-time home buyers. There is such a joy and satisfaction in helping somebody achieve a major life goal. Now, if you’re wanting to take the first steps towards buying a home in Nashville, then you’re in the right place.

Where exactly do you start?

A lot of people will say pre-approval, but I prefer to start with a first-time home buyer consultation. So, what is that?

That’s where we’re actually going to sit down over coffee or drinks or lunch and  discuss the entire home buying journey from start to finish. Oftentimes, I realize that first-time home buyers don’t really know what they don’t know, and that’s okay. That’s why I’m going to walk you through the entire home buying process so you know exactly what to expect, including any potential hurdles that we actually could run into, and then we’ll discuss how we would navigate around that.

During the consultation, we will discuss the pre-approval process. It can make you feel a little uncomfortable at the thought of having someone comb through your financials, but it’s a critical piece of the process. I’ll also provide you a list of trusted-lender recommendations if you need it.

Next we will go over the buyer questionnaire. We’re going to talk about things like your must-haves, your deal breakers, and your wish list. We will also talk about what you dream of when you’re really envisioning that home so that I get a clear idea of what it is that you’re truly searching for.

Then, we will wrap up with any questions you may have.  Feel free to ask me anything because, ultimately, I want you have a really clear understanding of what the process looks like, what to expect, and then what comes next. I’m a really big believer in setting yourself up for success on the front-end, and a buyer consultation is the way to do that. It also ensures that we’re a fit and that we’re all on the same page from the get-go, because that oftentimes ensures a smoother transaction.
